A Tapestry of Traditions and Rituals

My services offer a rich tapestry of traditions and rituals to choose from, ensuring your ceremony is as unique as your love. Some popular offerings include:

Handfasting Ceremony: An ancient celtic tradition symbolising the binding together of two lives. This beautiful ritual involves the tying of hands together with ribbons or cords, representing your commitment and unity.
Sand Ceremony: A perfect symbol to mark the joining of two lives. Watch as different coloured sands are poured into a single vessel, signifying your inseparable union.
Wishing Stones and Wishing Trees: Invite your guests to partake in blessing your union. They can write their wishes on stones or tags and place them on a designated tree or in a bowl, creating a lasting memento of their love and support.
Unity Candle Ceremony: A classic ritual symbolising the coming together of two families. Light individual candles to represent your lives before the wedding and then light a single larger candle together, signifying the creation of a new family.

We had a OneSpirit Interfaith Minister lead my own wedding service back in 2017 (it's what first inspired me to become a Minister myself!) so I know how special it is! I am committed to crafting an experience that resonates with your individual style, beliefs, and preferences. At our ceremony, we had a sand ceremony using sand from Ballycastle in Northern Ireland and Altinkum Beach in Turkiye. It was a highlight - especially when the sand from Ballycastle was a bit damp and took a while to come out!

At Immeasurable Hearts, I consider it an honour to craft personal, meaningful anniversary vow renewal ceremonies for couples at any stage. I will bring my skill, creativity and heart to reaffirm your sacred bond.

Elopements: Intimate and Heartfelt

For those who dream of a more intimate ceremony, my elopement services offer a romantic and stress-free alternative to traditional weddings. Whether it’s a quiet ceremony in a picturesque location or a simple exchange of vows in a place special to you, I'll ensure your elopement is as memorable as a grand and lavish celebration.

The Order and form of legal ceremony

The Regulations made under the Marriage (Northern Ireland) Order 2003 and subsequently The Marriage and Civil Partnership (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2020 make provision for the solemnising of civil and religious marriages.

The organisation I ordained as a Minister with, The OneSpirit Interfaith Foundation is registered as a nominating body, in the religious organisation category, however, your wedding does not have to have any religious element to it unless its what you want. What it does mean, is that nominated and authorised OneSpirit Interfaith Ministers (like myself!) can hold legal marriage ceremonies – both opposite-sex and same-sex weddings.
